Janice Shrock

Janice A. Shrock, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at her home.

Janice was born July 29, 1945, to Harold and Charlotte (Dych) Tettenborn. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Markesan. Janice was a 1963 graduate of Markesan High School. After high school, she worked at Ripon Good Cookie factory. It was in Ripon that she met her future husband, LeRoy Shrock. They married on February 4, 1967. She became a homemaker as they started their family. In 1967, they bought a farm on Mackford Prairie where they raised the rest of their family. She continued to farm until several years after LeRoy’s passing in 1993. Janice then worked for Schaumburg Supper Club where she liked to prepare food. She then worked at Village Mart in Fairwater, where she eventually became manager. During her time working in the public, she met many people she enjoyed getting to know. Through the years, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Janice made many crocheted Afghans and enjoyed her sewing. She liked to put together puzzles and had a love for her labs, especially her Misty (BooBoo).

Survivors include her four children, LeRoy (Mary) Shrock of Brandon, WI, David (Jodi) Shrock of Markesan, WI, Carla (Rodney) Kern of Fond du Lac, WI and Dale (Lisa) Shrock of Ripon, WI; five grandchildren, Tyler (fiancé, April), Kevin and Kayla Kern and Emma and Alexander Shrock and two brothers, Wilton Tettenborn of Ripon, WI and Neil Tettenborn of Berlin, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy and her parents.

Visitation for Janice will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 9 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Janice will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Sauers officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Berlin. A memorial is being established in her name.
