James Irvine

James Weston Irvine, age 75, of Green Lake, WI, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2005, at his home. He went peacefully with his family by his side.
He was born January 16, 1930, in Wheaton, IL, son of Frank Oliver and Genevieve (Sedlacek) Irvine. Jim graduated from Austin High School Class of 1948, and University of Illinois, and served in the Air Force from 1952-1955. He served in Korea in troop carrier and military air transport. On January 23, 1953, he married Joan Arline Leonard in Greenville, SC. Jim had been a airline pilot for 35 years with American Airlines. He was a member of the Grey Eagles (Airline Retirement Association), Silver Stripes. He was an avid sailor and member of Green Lake Yacht Club and served as Commodore.
Survivors include his wife, Joan A. Irvine of Green Lake, WI; sister, Pat Whiting of Loveland, CO; sons, Timothy J. Irvine of Aurora, IL, Thomas L. (Linda) Irvine of St. Charles, IL, and John W. (Rebecca) Irvine of Camdenton, MO; grandchildren, Samuel T. & Alec J. Irvine of St. Charles, IL, and Maya G. Irvine of Camdenton, MO. He was preceded in death by parents; and sister, Dorothy.
Funeral service for James Weston Irvine will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E Roosevelt Rd, Wheaton, IL. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton, IL. Memorial has been established.
