Jack W. Frank, age 87, of Ripon, WI passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Pleasant Park Place in Ripon.

Jack was born on November 17, 1931 in New London, WI, the son of Elmer and Berniece (Bechard) Frank. After graduating from high school Jack went on to serve our country in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 with the 30th Naval Construction Battalion and the Sea Bees. On August 17, 1957 he married Dorothy Krueger at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville, WI. He then continued his education and earned a Master's of Art degree in Art Education. Jack retired from the Ripon School District in 1992 after teaching art to students for 33 years, from kindergarten up through high school.

Jack was very active and involved in the community, and has many accomplishments. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church council, he was founder of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Pioneer Group, he was involved with Badger Boys State for 47 years, and a member of American Legion Post 43. Jack was Little League, Babe Ruth, RHS JV and Varsity Baseball Coach, American Legion Baseball Coach, volunteer coach of Ripon College baseball, and was inducted into the American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014. Every year Ripon College awards a senior with the greatest love of the game of baseball, the “Jack Frank Award.” Jack also was a volunteer score keeper of the RHS basketball team. In addition, he taught summer school, was the Ripon public schools art presenter program organizer, a volunteer for RMC, Meals On Wheels and Dicken's of a Christmas Santa. In 1998 Jack was awarded the Ripon Community Service award. Maybe his greatest accomplishment was being the husband to the 1991 United States Baseball Federation Topps National Amateur Baseball Woman of the Year. Jack enjoyed hunting with his boys, and fishing with his girls.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy Frank; children, Kirby (Danette) Frank, Kathleen (Fred) Louis, Kim (Scott) Koepp, Kelly (Laura) Frank, Kurt (Julie) Frank, and Karen (Chad) Baranczyk; 16 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and Gary (Edie) Frank.
