Helen S. Penke, 74, of 542 E North St, Village of Brandon, passed way Wednesday morning, June 8, 2005 at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
She was born May 15, 1931, in Ripon, the daughter of Harry and Dorothea (Crook) Brown. She attended Ripon Schools. On August 15, 1951, she married Lloyd Penke. Helen had been a nursing assistant at Parkview Care Center in Ripon for 17 years, and had lived in Ripon prior to moving to Brandon 30 years ago. She was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church of Brandon and a member of the Craft Club of Waupun.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Penke of Brandon; daughter, Nancy Penke of Fond du Lac; 2 sons, Larry (Ann) Penke of Sheboygan and Allen Penke of Ladysmith; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Leslie (June) Brown of Ripon and sister, Harriet Reetz of Berlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral service for Helen S. Penke will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at the Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon with Pastor Allen Schut officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Loper Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established for the Endowment Fund of Bethel Reformed Church.
