Hazel Weckwerth

Hazel E. Weckwerth, age 92, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at
Ripon Community Hospital.

Hazel was born on August 28, 1930 at home in the town of Mecan, WI, daughter of Herman and
Irene (Lueck) Stibb. On August 27, 1955, Hazel married Wilbert Weckwerth, who passed away
in July, 2010. Hazel was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, and had a
deep faith for The Lord. She enjoyed flowers, watching the birds, and most of all cherished time
with her family.

Hazel is survived by four sons, Richard (Susan) of Ripon, WI, Douglas (Olubunmi) of Fond du
Lac, WI, Jeffrey of Ripon, WI, and Randy (Tammy) of Waupun, WI; four daughters, Susan
(Kurt) Koch of Brandon, WI, Debra (Jerome) Schliepp of Ripon, WI, Kathy (Charles) Congleton
of Brandon, WI, and Julie (Felipe) Zepeda-Herrera of Milwaukee, WI; 17 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; five siblings; many nieces and nephews.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Irene Stibb; loving husband, Wilbert
Weckwerth; 3 daughter-in-laws, 7 siblings and several nieces and nephews.

Per Hazel’s wishes, a private family memorial service will be held. Inurnment will take place at
Eastside Cemetery in the township of Montello, WI. A memorial is being established in her
name.
