Harold Novak

Harold A. Novak, age 88, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan, WI.

Harold was born on September 20, 1932, in Princeton, WI, the son of Anton and Julia (Jezeski) Novak. He graduated from Princeton High School. On October 24, 1953 he married Lois Wittchow, who passed away on March 18, 2017. Harold was a life-long farmer, and in his free time enjoyed playing cards, dartball, bowling, and tractor pulling. He was a member of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Harold is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Paul) Senner of Appleton, WI, Patti (Joe) Echenique of Silver Springs, NV; four sons, Michael (Janice) Novak of Wautoma, WI, Jeffry (Pamela) Novak of Green Lake, WI, John (Theresa) Novak of Ripon, WI, and Scott (special friend, Bonnie Tessaro) Novak of Pickett, WI; grandchildren, Amber and William of Appleton, WI, Craig (Stephanie) of Redgranite, WI, Bryan (Alyssa) of Howell, MI, Samuel (Angelica) of Stevens Point, WI, Chelsey (Patrick) of Dalton, WI, Jeffry, Jr. of Green Lake, WI, Jenna (fiancé, Cary) of Denver, CO, Jacob (Alyssa) of Berlin, WI, Alexander, and Lynn of Ripon, WI; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Sofia of Appleton, WI, Connor and Colton of Redgranite, WI, and Moses of Dalton, WI; sisters-in-law, Delores Novak and Carol Wittchow; a brother-in-law, John Ronspies of Wautoma, WI; and many nieces; nephews; and his devoted companion, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Julia Novak; his wife, Lois Novak; a brother; three sisters; and several in-laws.

A private family prayer service for Harold will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI. Inurnment will follow at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, WI. A memorial is being established in his name. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Markesan Resident Home for their wonderful care of Harold.
