Harold Meyer

Harold John Meyer, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Prairie Place in Ripon.

Harold was born on April 29, 1926, in Ripon, the son of John and Josephine (Mirr) Meyer. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. In 1949, Harold married Barbara Splitt in Ripon. He was a farmer most of his life.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Meyer of Ripon, WI; daughter, Jaclyn (Tim) Lancaster of Milwaukee, WI; son, Stephen (Mary) Meyer of Ripon, WI; two granddaughters, Emily (fiancé Stephen Kennelly) Meyer of St. Paul, MN and Elizabeth Meyer of Ripon, WI; brother, Donald (Cindy) Meyer of Ripon, WI and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Meyer.

Visitation for Harold Meyer will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, from 10 – 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Harold Meyer will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. A memorial is being established.
