Harold Ferch

Harold “Fritz” Norman Ferch, age 91, of Ripon, WI, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Prairie Place in Ripon, WI.
Harold was born October 12, 1930, in Ladoga, WI, the son of Edward and Rose (Smith) Ferch. He graduated from Brandon High School and went on to serve in the Army National Guard. In 1951, Harold married Therese Ferch in Ripon. He worked as a meter reader for Wisconsin Power and Light for 40 years and worked as a maintenance man for Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
Harold was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. He was a 4th degree lifetime member of Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Brown-Parfitt Post #43 and was SSGT in active duty Army- Berlin Crisis.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 71 years, Therese Ferch of Ripon, WI; children, Tom (Peggy) Ferch of Wauwatosa, WI, Tammy (Roger) Garlow of Ripon, WI and Tim (Jen) Ferch of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Father Matthew Ferch of Cedarburg, WI, Meghan (Joe) Urban of Sun Prairie, WI, Ashley (Josh) Schultz of Green Bay, WI, Hayley (Michael Sabish) Garlow of Fond du Lac, WI, Brittney (Logan) Spillner of Surprise, AZ, Jacob Ferch of Brandon, WI and Zachary Ferch of Madison, WI; seven great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, David (Donna) Redemann of Lakewood, WA and James (Janice) Redemann of Green Bay, WI and numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rose Ferch; brother, Harris Ferch; sister, Leona Berger; in-laws, Hilmar and Marie Redemann and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and special friends, Jim and Lou Hopp and Marv Reil.
Visitation for Harold will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 9 – 11:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Harold will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon with Father Matthew Ferch officiating. A livestream of the mass can be viewed at 11:30 am here LIVESTREAM. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon with a Final Salute with Military Funeral Honors. Memorials may be directed to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 E. Blossom St. Ripon, WI 54971 or American Legion Brown-Parfitt Post #43, 113 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.
