Gwendolyn Gwen E. Bornick, age 91, of Markesan, WI, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018, at The Barrett House in Markesan.
Gwen was born in Green Lake, WI, on May 19, 1926, the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Kelm) Pamenter. She was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake on June 13, 1926, by Pastor Eric Moekus, and confirmed on June 9, 1940. She graduated from Green Lake High School. On June 11, 1944, Gwen married Robert Bornick, who passed away in 2014. Gwen worked as a secretary for Manchester Sand and Gravel (Division of Michel's Pipeline), and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Markesan. She was a very strong and loving woman who had a passion for her family. Gwen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. All her children meant the world to her. Gwen loved to crochet and enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers.
Gwen is survived by her daughters, Lindeen Bornick and Ginny (Ronnie) Kearley both of Markesan, WI; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ruth Pamenter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Bornick; her brothers, Lyndon and Roy Pamenter; and a sister Evelyn (Clarence) Dehn.
A visitation for Gwen will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Faith Lutheran Church, WI-73, Markesan, WI, 53946.
A memorial service for Gwen will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 also at Faith Lutheran Church in Markesan, with Pastor Matthew Ude officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Manchester Cemetery. A memorial is being established.
