Gerald H. Lee, age 87, of Ripon, WI, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at Barrett House in Ripon.
Gerald was born March 14, 1934, in Markesan, WI, the son of Earl and Edna (Steers) Lee. He graduated from Markesan High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Naval Submarine Service. On September 29, 1952, he married Carol J. Ludtke at MCAS Chapel in El Toro Santa Ana, CA. Gerald was a member of the Ripon Fire Department for 20 years and had risen to rank of Captain. He worked as a meat manager at Ripon Piggly Wiggly. Gerald enjoyed going to car shows with the many antique cars he owned.
Survivors include his children, Danny A. (Suki) Lee of Ripon, WI, Larry R. Lee of Gleason, WI and David A. (Marie) Lee of Fond du Lac, WI; grandchildren, Jamie (Jennifer) Lee of Chicago, IL, Trina Lee of Cayucos, CA, Ashley (Brett) Marshall of Waukesha, WI, Aaron (Abby Berlin) Lee of Sheboygan, WI, Ryan Lee of Fond du Lac, WI, Dylan Lee of Fond du Lac, WI and six great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carol; daughter, Lori and granddaughter, Tyffani and two brothers and a sister.
The family will have a private memorial service in the spring. Interment will take place at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon, WI. Memorials may be directed to Green Lake Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 86, Green Lake, WI 54941.
