Genevieve Clara Brotske, age 89, formerly of Russell Manor, Ripon, passed away Friday morning, May 20, 2005, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
She was born November 27, 1915, in Berlin, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Weir) Trochinski. She was educated in Berlin, and on June 15, 1937, she married Leo Brotske. Genevieve was a housewife, and had lived in Berlin and later in Ripon. Mrs. Brotske was a member St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Romlow-Buhrow (Jerry); 4 grandchildren, Paul (Tobi) Romlow of Madison, Sheryl Swanke-Mann of Ripon, Susan Swanke of Ripon, and Scott Swanke of Savage, MN; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Dorothy Brotske of Berlin; and 1 brother, Francis Trochinski of Berlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; daughter, Barbara Swanke; and grandson, Peter Romlow; 2 brothers, Carl and George Trochinski; and 1 sister, Eleanora Trochinski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon with Rev. Robert A. Fictum officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Tuesday at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
