Gary Vershure

Gary Thomas Vershure, age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Whispering Pines in Ripon.

Gary was born June 29, 1939, in Detroit, MI, the son of Roy and Marguerite (Walsh) Vershure. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in English from UW Madison. On June 28, 1975, Gary married Georgette Kretz in Hinsdale, IL. He had many jobs, the last one being press operator at Ripon Printers. Gary enjoyed gardening, reading, music, and wine tastings.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Georgette Vershure of Ripon, WI; four children, Debbie Curtice of Elmhurst, IL, Lucinda (Anthony) Dolgner of Markesan, WI, Linda Sue (Glenn Pentecost) Bochar of Murfreesboro, TN and Eric (Heather) Vershure of St. Francis, WI; three grandchildren, Josh and Kayli Dolgner and Clayton Curtice; two great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Izayak, and nephew, David Vershure of Jefferson, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Marguerite Vershure; brothers, Roy and Jack Vershure and sister, Marilyn Markey.
