Frederick Schultz Jr.

Frederick A. “Fred” Schultz Jr., age 83, of Sun Prairie, WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the Willows Nursing Home in Sun Prairie. He was born on May 21, 1934, in Ripon, Wisconsin, the son of Frederick Sr. and Lydia (Stibb) Schultz.
An over the road truck driver for 22 years, Fred also worked for many years as the driver for the Sound of Sun Prairie marching band. In 1999, Fred served as the parade marshal for the Flags of Freedom Band Rally. After retiring from truck driving, Fred worked as a custodian for Wal-Mart of Sun Prairie for 15 years before retiring in 2012.
He is survived by his children, Alan (Heather) Schultz, Frederick (Mary) Schultz III and Michael (Melissa) Schultz; grandchildren, Riley, Lydia, Isabelle and Claire; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lorand and Victor, and sister, Ruth Miller.
A memorial gathering will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971, on Sunday, November 5, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
