Florence L. Lawless, age 87, of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon, WI.
Florence was born on August 23, 1922, in Centuria, WI, the daughter of N. George and Olga (Hjort) Nelson. She graduated from Green Lake High School and attended Oshkosh Business College. On February 15, 1947, Florence married Nathan C. Lawless. She started at Speed Queen during the WWII and worked as a Secretary of International Sales. Florence was also a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Amy) of Ripon; three grandsons, Nathan H. of Parma, OH, Matthew (fiancé Jenna Duwell) of Greenville, WI, and Ryan of Madison, WI; one great granddaughter, Autumn of Ripon, WI. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Floyd and sister, Genevieve.
Visitation for Florence Lawless will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, from 9 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Mass of Christian Burial for Florence Lawless will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Father Thomas A. McAlpine will officiate. A private interment will take place at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
