Fern E. Zimmerman, age 94, of the Markesan and Marquette, WI area, passed away on February 2, 2013, in Oshkosh.
Fern was born on October 26, 1918, in Marquette, the daughter of Fred and Anna Welnitz. She graduated from Markesan High School and went on to further her education as a grade school teacher. She married Edgar Zimmerman in Markesan and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Marquette.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins. Fern was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edgar and four sisters, Nadine, Carol, Ruth and Jean.
Per Fern’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the spring.
