Evelyn Jean Louden, age 88, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at her daughters home, in Whitewater, WI.
Evelyn was born in Princeton, WI on July 24, 1934, daughter of Edmund and Bernice (Brooks) Shurpit. On September 27, 1952 she married William J. Louden, in Iowa. William passed away on October 16, 2012. Evelyn worked as a Quality Inspector at Admanco in Ripon, prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Evelyn enjoyed making jewelry, playing bingo, puzzles, traveling both nationally and internationally to many locations, dining out, and spending time with family.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Lisa Louden of Whitewater, WI and Lori (Trent)
Rich of Estero FL; son, William R. Louden of Ripon, WI; eight grandchildren, Nikki (Tom) Pfeifer, Eric Louden, Nichelle (Ben) Phillip, Dustin (Heather) Louden; Lindsy (Travis) Peterson, Brittany(Brad) Rich, Kelsy (Andy) Rich, and Parker Louden; five great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Emerson, and Everett Louden, and Ava and Cannon Wilke; one great-great grandchild, Riley Louden; a sister, Shirley (Harold) Roehl; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Bernice Shurpit; her husband, William J. Louden, a sister, Ruth Schultz; two brothers, Eugene and Donald Shurpit; and a son-in-law, Randy Rich.
Visitation for Evelyn will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.
A memorial mass for Evelyn will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM, Cap officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in her name.
