Eugene Hutch L. Richardson, age 81, of San Carlos, CA, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA.
Hutch was born on July 20, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Thomas Rich and Catherine (Reith) Richardson. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to attend Marquette University. After working at Speed Queen in Ripon, he moved to California and became an owner of a laundry equipment business. Hutch was a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ripon, and a current member of St. Charles Catholic Church in San Carlos, CA, where he was very active and served as an usher for several decades. Despite living in California for the vast majority of his life, he remained devoted to the Green Bay Packers, and his family and friends in Wisconsin. Hutch loved his extended family and friends and always made it a priority to keep in touch and attend class reunions, holiday events and family celebrations. Hutch was a kind, generous and loving man. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
Hutch is survived by his sister, Joan (Timothy) Flaherty of Appleton, WI; a sister-in-law, Barbara Richardson of Menominee Falls, WI; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Rich and Catherine Richardson; two brothers, John Jack and Lawrence Larry Richardson; a sister-in-law, Katherine Richardson; and a niece, Mary Richardson Warnke.
Visitation for Hutch will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Hutch will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 8, 2018 also at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Private family interment will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon, at a later date.
