Eugene Miller

Eugene W. Miller, age 88, of Ripon, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at home with his family by his side.

Eugene was born on March 16, 1930 on the family farm outside of Pickett, WI, the son of Melvin and Lucille (Zahn) Miller. He attended Rosendale Union Free High School. In 1951 he married Irene Schneider at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, WI. Eugene was a dairy farmer and also worked at the AFK Foundry in Ripon. He was an avid Packer fan and his family encourages you to wear your favorite Packer shirt to the funeral.

Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Irene of Ripon, WI; a daughter, Jeanne (Jim) Zahn of Rosendale, WI; two grandsons, Matthew (Colleen) Zahn of Clarendon Hills, IL and Noah (Barb) Zahn of Fond du Lac, WI; great-grandchildren: Lucy, Nicolette, Zachary, and Layla; a brother, Bob Miller of Fond du Lac, WI; sisters, Marilyn Albrecht of Rosendale, WI and Julie (Tom) Stellmacher of Ripon, WI; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Lucille Miller; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Miller; brother-in-law, George Albrecht; and other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A visitation for Eugene will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in the Chapel at Ledgeview Memorial Park, N6250 County Trunk K, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937.

A Prayer Service for Eugene will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac, WI, with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Entombment will follow the Prayer Service. A memorial in Eugene's name is being established.
