Eric Leonard Haese, age 62, of Berlin, WI, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at his home with family by his side.
Eric was born on May 22, 1960, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, son of Robert William and Elfrieda Lenore (Bergmann) Haese. He attended Hamilton High School in Sussex, WI. In 1982 he married Mary Ann Honaker in Sussex. After moving to Berlin, Eric started working at Seneca Foods as a maintenance mechanic. He was also a soccer coach in Berlin. Eric enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, basketball and the Milwaukee Bucks, and also the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He also loved NASCAR, and was the #1 fan of Jimmie Johnson, and cherished nature and the wildlife.
Eric was the beloved husband of Mary; loving and proud father of Eric, Jr.; brother of Robert (JoAnn) and Heidi (Thomas) Schlei; brother-in-law of Mark Honaker, Craig (Cheré) Honaker, Kathy (Rick) Semrow, and Matthew (Abbey) Honaker; proud uncle of Marie Gossens, Robert Haese, Elizabeth (Andrew) Wilson, Andrew Schlei, Rebecca (Robbie Hartman) Schlei, Brian (Kim) Schlei, Jason, Joey, Katie, Jesse, Sarah, Teresa and Becky Honaker, Annie (Mike) Zimmerman, and Richie (Jessica) Semrow; great uncle of Steven (Emily), Ashley, Austin, Connor, Gavin, Mya, Abby, Sofia, and the late infant Ethan Haese, Amelia, Brittany, Taylor, Lacey, Audrina, Willow and Naomi; great-great uncle of Kaydance, Jade, and Mallory. He is further survived by his cousins, Dawn (Rick) Strehlow, Eddie (Kari) Haese; and other relatives and friends. Eric is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elfrieda Haese; father-in-law, Leonard Honaker; mother-in-law, Judy Theodozio; step-mother-in-law, Karen Honaker; and his grandma and grandpa Fredricks.
Visitation for Eric will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 3:00 until 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial service for Eric will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
