Elizabeth Betsy Rogalsky, age 42, of Ripon, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at her home.
Betsy was born May 30, 1968, in Racine, Wisconsin, to her parents James and Nancy (Harvey) Piper. On November 28, 1998 she married Scott Rogalsky in Kenosha, WI. Betsy worked for many years for Wells Fargo Bank and Wells Fargo Mortgage. At the time of her death, Betsy had nearly completed a degree in social work through which she planned to dedicate her life to improving those of other cancer survivors and their families. Betsy was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon, and served as the church treasurer, played with the Hand Bell choir, and was a member of the Women of Grace. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, and her God-daughter. She also enjoyed canoeing, camping, and traveling with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Rogalsky of Ripon, Mother, Nancy Piper-Jankovich and stepfather William of Racine, WI., three sisters, Susan Piper of Sturgeon Bay, WI., Barbara (Roy) Jankovich of Los Angeles, CA., Carol Garner of Racine, WI.; two brothers, David (Becky) Piper of Hermosa, SD., and Tom (Nancy) Jankovich of Banner Elk, NC.She was preceded in death by her father James Piper.
Visitation for Elizabeth Rogalsky will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, from 4-7 PM at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, from 10-11AM at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon.
Services for Elizabeth Rogalsky will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 11 AM at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church 430 Griswold St. Ripon, WI. with the Reverend Maurice Schaus officiating. A memorial is being established.
Betsy battled cancer for 20 years, but never allowed the illness to define her life. She was an inspiration to her family, friends and to all who knew her. She left the world a better place than she found it.
