Elenore Kantorowicz

Elenore “Elly” E. (Wegner) Kantorowicz of Ripon, WI, age 92, died on Maundy Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Hospice Care Unit of The Lutheran Home, Wauwatosa, WI.
Elly was born on December 30, 1929 in the Township of Mecan, Marquette County, WI to Herman and Alma Zellmer Wegner, and baptized at home on January 6, 1930. On May 9, 1943, she was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Montello, WI and graduated from Princeton High School in 1947.
Following graduation, she moved to Milwaukee where she worked as a nurse and dental aide, but returned to her home area to marry Carl Kantorowicz on September 9, 1950 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Montello, WI. Their love for each other remained constant and they were blessed with 70 years together.
Elly was beautiful both inside and out. She was a calligrapher for the National Forensic League and artfully inked their award certificates for 49 years. The food she made for friends, family and for events was always lovely to look at as well as delicious. Elly was also a skilled indoor and outdoor gardener with a fantastic green thumb. God formed her heart and mind to love Jesus and God’s Word, teaching Sunday School at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Ripon for 20 years.
Survivors include her two daughters, Neva Kantorowicz Kimble of Wauwatosa, WI and Kary (Peter) Jonas of Arcadia, WI; grandchildren, Paige Kimble (Matthew Brough) of Glasgow, Scotland, Lane Kimble (Danelle) of Oregon, WI, Maura Jonas of Eau Claire, WI, Liam Jonas of Chicago, IL and Brendan Jonas of Madison, WI; great grandchildren, Ethan and Lucas Kimble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, parents, Herman and Alma, her brothers, Harold, Clarence, Arthur, Wilbert and her sister, Dorothy.
Visitation for Elly Kantorowicz will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 10 – 11:00 am at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 320 Mt. Zion Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Elly Kantorowicz will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon with Pastor Michael Sheppard officiating. Inurnment will follow for both Elly and Carl at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be sent to Mount Zion Lutheran Church and Time of Grace Ministries (https://timeofgrace.org).
