Elden Lee Benton, 70, entered the gates of Heaven on January 9, 2024 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Elden was born to Harrel and Mary Benton in Lubbock, Texas on January 15, 1953 and raised in Abernathy, where he graduated from high school in 1971. Elden began working on the farm at a very young age and transitioned to fully farming with his dad during his teenage years at County Line. Elden then began farming in Lamb County in 1975. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church, served on the Lamb County Electric Co-op Membership Committee and was a member of Lamb County Farm Bureau. Elden moved to Ripon, Wisconsin in 2008 where he became a member of the Hillside Assembly of God Church making it his home away home finding a second family with many wonderful people.

Elden enjoyed talking to others about Jesus, showing off his grandkids, and talking in his Donald Duck voice to entertain everyone. Elden never met a stranger and always helped those in need, calling often to check in on his family and friends.

Elden is survived by his son Justin Benton and wife April of Littlefield, Texas, daughter Megan Jephcott and husband Matthew of Amarillo, Texas; four sisters Maudie Benton, Brenda Yeary, Judy Benton, Carol Motl and two brothers, Mark and Hank Benton. Elden was the proud G-Pa to six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter as well as many nephews, nieces, and his good ‘ol buddy Preston Benton.

Welcoming Elden in Heaven were his parents, brother Harrel Benton, sister Mary Lou Withers, and his son Cory Benton.
