Elaine Pearl White, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Touchmark Care Facility in Appleton, WI.
Elaine was born in Green Lake County on July 25, 1936, the daughter of Carl and Dora (Klingbeil) Lindeman. She married Eddie White on September 15, 1956 and they spent the next 60 years together. They operated a dairy farm in Ripon together, three miles away from where Elaine grew up. It was more than an occupation for them, but rather a passion in their lives. She played an active role on the farm, driving tractor and helping her husband prepare and harvest the crops. Early on in the marriage, Elaine worked as a secretary at Ripon Foods. She was very supportive of her children and grandchildren's extracurricular activities, and loved cheering at their games and supporting all of their teams. Elaine was a life-long member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and listening to music. Elaine and Eddie loved to go and listen to polka bands, going out for Friday night fish fries, and taking the opportunity to visit with neighbors.
Elaine is survived by her son, Lynn (Angie) White of Wausau, WI and their children, Logan and Alexis White; daughter, Lori (Brad) Sall of Neenah, WI and their children, Hayden and Lauren Sall; a sister, Sylvia (Verne) Wepner of Oshkosh, WI; two sisters-in-law, Audrey (Don) Buettner of Beaver Dam, WI and Connie White of Waupun, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie White in 2016; her parents, Carl and Dora Lindeman; a sister, Arla (Orin) Galow; and eight brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Marie) White, Robert (Audrey) White, Orien (Myrtle) White, Kenneth (Alice) White, Henry Jr. (Margaret) White, Carol (Buryl) Stelow, James (Shirley) White, and Richard White.
Visitation for Elaine will be held from 4 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, and again from 10 – 11:00 am on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
A funeral service for Elaine will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Rev. Clay R. Salmela officiating. Interment will follow at Loper Cemetery, Town of Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in her name.
