Elaine M. Kimble, age 81, died Sunday evening December 25, 2005, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
Elaine was born on September 26, 1924, in Dakota, town of Crystal Lake, Marquette County, the daughter of Albert A. and Elma M. (Kiesow) Meyer. She graduated from Rosendale Union Free High School. On June 18, 1947 Elaine married Roger Kimble at Peace Lutheran Church of Rosendale. She and her husband farmed in Ripon for twelve years and then moved to their farm in the Brandon area. She was a devoted mother and housewife. She was a help mate to her husband on the farm. Her grandchildren were her biggest joy and she loved baking biscuits for them. She loved visiting with friends and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. She also served as chief inspector of elections for the Town of Springvale.
Survivors include her husband Roger of Brandon, two sons; Orrin (Dione) Kimble, Merwin A. (Mary) Kimble both of Brandon, four grandchildren; Sadie Jo, Keri Jean, Ashley Ann, Tate Gregory all of Brandon. Three sisters-in-law; Harriet Hilke of Ripon, Lois Quick of Fulton, MO, and Beverly (Gene) Brey of Saint Cloud, WI., one brother-in-law, Kenneth (Karren) Kimble of Markesan, and nieces and nephews. Special friends; Violet Retzlaff, Ralph, Becki, Hillary Meyer and Curtis De Haan. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, two brothers, Arthur and Edwin Meyer.
Funeral services for Elaine Kimble will be held on Thursday December 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon, with Rev. Stuart Dornfeld officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday December 28, 2005 from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 10 to the time of the service at the Church. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery, Village of Brandon. A memorial has been established.
