Elaine Mae Erickson, age 85, of 1005 Pleasant St., Ripon, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Michalene’s in Ripon.
Elaine was born on May 31, 1922 in Whitehall, WI the daughter of Martin and Clara (Berg) Swenson. Elaine graduated from Whitehall High School, and on August 4, 1947 she married James R. Erickson in Arcadia. The couple moved to the Ripon area in 1958. Elaine worked as a Faculty Secretary at Ripon College, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her children; Mary Lou Erickson of Las Vegas, NV, and James W. “Bill” (Mary) Erickson of Ripon, three grandchildren; Allison (Steve) Tenhagen of Elkhorn, Melinda (fiancée Ryan Hoffman) Erickson of Burlington, and John Erickson of Oshkosh. She is further survived by one brother-in-law; Edward (Elda) Erickson, three sisters-in-law; Merle Erickson, Florence (Ray) Urbick, and Harriet Erickson, 9 nieces, and 14 nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James R. Erickson on February 19, 2007, her brother Kenneth Swenson, and her sister Janet Pederson.
Memorial Service for Elaine Mae Erickson will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11:00am at Fagernes Lutheran Church in Blair, WI with the Reverend Liz Albertson officiating. Inurnment will follow in Fagernes Lutheran Cemetery, Blair, WI. Memorials in her name can be sent to: 1005 Pleasant St. Ripon, WI 54971.
