Edward “Ed” Willis Wells, age 73, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at ThedaCare Berlin Hospital.
Ed was born February 17, 1949 in Ripon, WI, the son of Lynn and Julia (Kimble) Wells. He graduated from Green Lake High School and married Linda Schlosser on December 27, 1969. Ed served our country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1972. He worked as a master plumber as the owner/operator of Green Lake Plumbing and Heating. Ed was a member of the Lions Club and the American Legion. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting, and playing softball and volleyball.
Survivors include his wife, Linda J. Wells; daughters, Julie (Jeremy) Henze and Angela (Jim) Reetz; sons, Joseph (Melanie) Wells and Craig (Theresa) Wells; grandchildren, Peter, Laura, Edison, Louis and Coen; brother, Lynn “Butch” Wells; and brother-in-law, John Kaatz. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Julia Wells; two sisters, Barbara (John) Barrows and Marlene Kaatz; sister-in-law, Linda L. Wells; and two nephews, Alynn Kaatz and Lee Wells.
A Celebration of Life for Ed will be held at a later date. A memorial is being established in his name.
