He enjoyed sitting, with his wife, on their front-lawn swing. He also enjoyed baseball, playing in the Zion League for many years, bowling in the Mixed Bowling League at T&O Lanes, camping at Pearl Lake, playing in the Winnebago Lutheran Dartball League, deer hunting, watching the Green Bay Packers, and playing cards.
