Edward C. Badtke, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Ripon Medical Center.
Edward was born May 20, 1931, in Ripon, WI, the son of Edward and Emma (Schmeckel) Badtke. He received his GED and went on to serve our country in the United States Army for two years and then entered the National Guard for eight years. He was employed by Rockwell International as a machinist and also drove school bus. Edward was formerly married to Patricia Albright and then Patricia Wesner. He was a very active member in Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, volunteering his time for many causes. Edwards hobbies included hunting and training his dogs. He greatly enjoyed entering field trials and participated in the American Birddog Championship. He also was a member of the American Kennel Club and sang with the Barbershopper Quartet.
Survivors include his son, Brian Badtke; one grandson, Jack Badtke and one granddaughter, Abigail Badtke all of Green Lake, WI. Edward was further survived by former step-children, Brian Price and Lori Stahl; former step-grandchildren, Anthony and Heather Stahl and Jessica, Janet and Joshua Price. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Erhardt and Reinold Badtke and two sisters, Esther Malchanov and Violet Kimbal.
Visitation for Edward will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016, from 4 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Edward will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. A memorial is being established.
