DuWayne Wilton Wichman Sr, age 72, of 228 Washington St, Ripon, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2006 at Ripon Medical Center.
DuWayne was born on October 8, 1934, in Ripon, the son of Herbert and Joyce (Bird) Wichman. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1956. On October 5, 1957, he married Rosalind Domke in Brandon, WI. DuWayne worked at Ripon Ace Hardware for 47 years as a department head. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. He was a Boy Scout leader for pack 37 and a little league coach.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalind Wichman; children, DuWayne Jr. (Sue) Wichman of Ripon, Don Wichman (Kelley Harris) of Schofield, WI, David Wichman of Ripon and Rosalie (Rob) Spahr of Pine City, MN; grandchildren, Michael Wichman of Ripon and Jordan and Jonah Spahr of Pine City; brothers and sisters, Lester (Carol) Wichman of Hancock, WI, Bill (Judy) Wichman of Ripon, Mabel (Elmer) Kreger of Charles City, IA and Marion Kreger of Floyd, IA; sister-in-law, Andrea Werzinske of Ripon. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. DuWayne Sr. is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Clayton Kreger.
Visitation for DuWayne Wichman Sr. will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2006 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again on Monday, December 4, 2006 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 W. Fond du Lac St, Ripon.
Funeral Service for DuWayne Wichman Sr. will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Nulton officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
