Duane Zills, 56 of 207 Church St., Fairwater, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Duane was born on October 25, 1948 in Oakfield, the son of Walter and Arlene (Lohrey) Zills. He attended Ripon High School, and worked in construction for 37 years. On October 25, 1985 he married Donna Lange and lived in Ripon and Fairwater most of his life. Duane retired from Oscar Boldt of Appleton in 2003. He was a member of Labor Local 1086 of Fond du Lac.
Survivors include his wife Donna of Fairwater, Children; Korie (Carl) Ellis of Ripon, Lacey (Scott) Beduhn of Appleton and, Duane Jr. (Jessica) Zills of Ripon, Step-children; Tammy Lange of Fond du Lac, and Timothy (Shari) Lange of AZ. Five grandchildren, Shanda, Kayla, Briana, Isaiah, and Peyton. One brother Virgil (Janis) Zills of Ripon, one sister, Karen (David) Kanneman of Ripon, one aunt, two uncles and several nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
A time of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 6:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with the Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of Remembrance at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in his name.
