Dorothy Daw, age 86, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Pleasant Park Place in Ripon.
She was born November 1, 1931, the daughter of Edward and Irene (Jahnke) Wendlandt. Dorothy graduated from Markesan High School and in 1950, Dorothy married Donald Smith and had three children, Cheryl, Vincent and Doris. She then married Bruce Daw in 1971. Dorthy worked for various companies throughout her years. She ran the canteen at Del Monte, was a cookie packer for Rippin Good Cookies in Ripon and finally worked in the deli at Pick n Save in Ripon. She also volunteered at the Ripon Medical Center for over 20 years.
Survivors include her three children, Cheryl (James) Hessler of Princeton, WI, Vincent (Julia) Smith of Markesan, WI and Doris (Gene) Wedel of Meno, OK. Dorothy is further survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother, Bob (Billie) Wendlandt of Minoqua, WI and one sister, Evelyn Schwandt of Mineral Point, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Myrtle (John) Henke.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 11:00 am at Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake with Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. A memorial is being established in her name.
