Doris A. Henslin, age 86 of Ripon, WI passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon, with her loving family by her side.
Doris was born on March 7, 1933 at home in Montello, WI, the daughter of David and Emma (Zuehlke) Krentz. She graduated from high school in Montello. On April 14, 1951, Doris married Leonard Henslin at St. John's Lutheran Church also in Montello. She was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon for 50 years. Doris was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Ripon. She enjoyed gardening and reading; she loved to bake and was very good at it; and she also sewed for pleasure as well as for others in the community. Most of all Doris cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was very involved with all of their lives.
Doris is survived by her children, Debbie (Craig) Teela of Ripon, WI and their children, Jason (Nena) and Brett; Wayne (Holly) Henslin of Racine, WI and their children, Heather (Jesse) Hendricks, Joshua (Lisa) and Aaron; Pat (Rick) Ehrenberg of Ripon, WI and their children, Ryan and Ross; James (Donna) Henslin of Ripon, WI and their children, Kyle (Theresa), and Tyler (fiancee, Ally Butke); Bruce (Michelle) Henslin of Onalaska, WI and their children, Dustin and Lindsey; and Jeff (Peggy) Henslin of Ripon, WI and their children, Eric (Angie), Brooke (Jake) Schneider, Travis (Hanna) Schumacher, and Shawn (Catalina) Schumacher; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Allen Henslin; sister-in-law, Venetta Jeske; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Henslin; parents, David and Emma Krentz; a grandson, Michael Teela; a granddaughter, Katie Ehrenberg; brothers, Ernie, Elmer, and Robert; and sisters, Irene and Florence.
Visitation for Doris will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, and again from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Doris will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend Bryan Fritsch officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in her name.
