Donald C. Wargula, age 90, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Ripon Medical Center.
Donald was born on January 26, 1932, a son of Edward Sr. and Isabele (Disterhaft) Wargula. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1950 and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On July 27, 1963 he married Beverly Sieg in Berlin, WI. Donald worked at Ripon Foods for over 40 years. He was a proud member of the Ripon VFW and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
Donald is survived by two sons, Michael (Gail) Wargula of Ripon, WI and Steven Wargula of Omro, WI; a daughter, Michele (special friend, Jim Albright) Oskola of Ripon, WI; five grandchildren, Taylor (Katie) Veleke of Maple Grove, MN, Lydia Wargula of Ripon, WI, Kristi (Brad) Wargula of Berlin, WI, Kyle Oskola of Ripon, WI, and Kendra (financé, Andy) of Oregon, WI; five great-grandchildren, Kalli Kasuboski, Brantley and Braysen Montey, and Hattie and Rory Veleke; two brothers, Sylvester Wargula of Ripon, WI and Edward (Lois) Wargula, Jr. of Neshkoro, WI; a sister, Madeline Wargula of Princeton, WI; a sister-in-law, Diane Bartels of Wild Rose, WI; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Wargula; parents, Edward Sr. and Isabele Wargula; a sister, Lorraine Bogucke; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Loretta Sieg; sisters-in-law, Dolores Gross and Patricia Wargula; and a brother-in-law, Richard Sieg.
Visitation for Donald will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, and again on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 9:00 until 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Donald will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971, with Rev. Jim Leary officiating. Mass will be livestreamed at 10:30 am here LIVESTREAM. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon, WI, with a Final Salute and Military Honors at the cemetery. A memorial is being established in Donald’s name.
