Donald Glen Hollander, age 97, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Copperleaf Village of Ripon.
Donald was born on March 27, 1924 in the Town of Springvale, WI, the son of Walter and Lydia (Jonely) Hollander. He graduated from Rosendale High School and went on to continue his farming education at the University of Wisconsin. On September 11, 1946, Donald married Bernice R. Rabe at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. They were married for 74 years when Bernice passed away in 2021. Donald was a farmer in the Rosendale and Ripon area and a devoted member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Jean (Barry) Marchant of Minnesota; a son, Ralph Hollander of Minnesota; grandchildren, Adam (Stacy) Marchant, Justin (Julie) Marchant, Dylan Marchant and Jenna Marchant; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Gavin Marchant, Sophia, Alexander and Elise Marchant; step-great-grandchildren, DJ Brown and Orlandrea Woods; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lydia Hollander; and three brothers, Arlyn, Myron, and Lester Hollander.
A graveside service for Donald will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale, with Pastor Michael Sheppard officiating. Memorials may be directed to Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 320 Mt. Zion Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
