Donald Dombrowski, Sr.

Donald “Don” Vincent Dombrowski, Sr., age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at his home.
Don was born in Racine, WI on February 25, 1941, the son of Ervin L. and Elaine R. (Marsch) Dombrowski. He graduated from Horlick High School in Racine. In 1961, Don married Verlene Spacek at St. Louis Catholic Church in Caledonia, WI. He worked in management for various restaurants and gas stations, and managed Country Kitchen in Ripon for over 20 years. Don loved woodworking, enjoyed gardening and polka music, was a master of general B.S., and most of all cherished his family.
Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verlene Dombrowski; two children, Wayne (Julie) Dombrowski and Debbie (Dave Smolik) Dombrowski, and fur baby, Willy; six grandchildren, Ed, Zachary (Jackie), Makenzie (Nick), Bryce, Eric and Jason; four great-grandchildren, Connor, Maleya, Zayne, and Kacin; three brothers, Jim (Connie), Gilbert (Judy) and Erv Dombrowski; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jean (Mike), Gail (Scott) Joyce, Joan, Jimmy, Dave (Tina), and Phillip (Val); and numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Elaine Dombrowski; a son, Don Dombrowski, Jr.; a great-grandson, Myles; sister, Janet Dombrowski; sister-in-law, Lois Dombrowski; and brother-in-law, George Harvonek.
Don’s family will have a private family celebration of life for Don at a later date. A memorial is his name is being established.
