Donald F. Diedrich, age 77, of Appleton, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Donald was born on September 29, 1935, in Ripon, the son of Floyd and Dorothy (Hill) Diedrich. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force. On June 8, 1979, Donald married Connie M. King. He retired from Oshkosh Truck Company after 25 years. Donald was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Connie of Appleton, WI; one daughter, Lisa Smith of Bella Vista, AR; one son, Donavon Diedrich of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren, Myranda Gosa of Bentonville, AR, Michaela Cain, Jaide Smith and Michael Smith all of Bella Vista, AR, Savannah Diedrich and Joel Diedrich of Waco, TX, Steven Diedrich of Lewisville, TX, Jared Diedrich of Waco TX and Cherokee Diedrich of Waco, TX; two great-grandchildren, Starrissa and Blayze Gosa of Bentonville, AR and one sister, Joanne Schrader of Oshkosh, WI. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Daniel Diedrich.
Visitation for Donald will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013, from 11 – 1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Graveside service for Donald will follow the visitation on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Pastor David Eisley will officiate. A memorial is being established.
