Dennis Wesel

Dennis Carl Wesel, age 79, long-time resident of New Lenox, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at his home in Green Lake, WI.

Dennis was born June 15, 1941, in Chicago, IL, the son of Karl and Helen (Golke) Wesel. He graduated from Kelly High School and went on to further his education at Roosevelt University. In 1967, Dennis married Sharon Divyak in Chicago, IL. He was self-employed working as a salesman and financial planner. Dennis was an avid White Sox fan, fisherman and truly enjoyed being a member of Rotary of New Lenox. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed taking them to Culver’s for the “flavor of the day”. Dennis was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in New Lenox.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Wesel of New Lenox, IL; four children, Eric (Sandi) Wesel of New Lenox, IL, Dennis (Scott Houghton) Wesel of Green Lake, WI, Emily (Chad) Dotzenrod of Manhattan, IL and Bill (Julie) Wesel of Wauconda, IL; seven grandchildren, Allie, Ricky, Joe, Kolin, Anna, Morgan and Maddie; brother, Rich Wesel, an aunt, Betty Golke and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Helen Wesel; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Anne Divyak and granddaughter, Jacqueline.
