David Alan Zahn, age 60, of Slinger, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
David was born on March 13, 1952, in Ripon, the son of Glenn and Mary (Splitt) Zahn. He graduated from Ripon High School and became a truck driver, most recently employed with Laufer Trucking in Hartford, WI. In 1992, David married Mary Lynn Sebastian in Las Vegas, NV.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lynn of Slinger, WI; two children, Andy Zahn of Ripon, WI and Angie Zahn of Oshkosh; one grandson, Devon of Oshkosh, WI; father, Glenn Zahn of Brandon, WI; two sisters, Patty (Brian) Zamzow of Ripon, WI and Nancy (Larry) James of Eldorado; one brother, Steven Zahn of Fond du Lac, WI; mother-in-law, June Roche of Waukesha, WI and nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; step-mother, Bonnie Zahn and sister, Sue Zahn.
Visitation for David will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 9 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for David will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
