David F. Hielke, age 75, of Pickett, WI, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
David was born February 17, 1941, in Green Lake, WI, the son of William and Margaret (Voeltner) Hielke, Jr. He graduated from Ripon High School. On November 12, 1960, David married Joan Rae Brunson in Ripon. He started Daves Auto Service in 1965, which eventually became Daves Auto Service and Trucking. David then started crop farming in 1982. He was a charter member of the Utica Fire Department and a past Assistant Fire Chief. David was a charter member and treasurer of Pickett Lions and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett. David dedicated his life in helping his family and others. He was the glue that held his family together.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joan Hielke of Pickett, WI; his children, Darryl (Tanya) Hielke of Pickett, WI, Julie (Tim) Wolfgram of Elcho, WI, Dennis (Dana) Hielke of Ripon, WI and Kathy (Jeff) Kiggens of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Ashley (Drew) Hacker, Kayla (Zach) Clemons, David (Allie) Hielke, Dylan Hielke, Deanna (Mike Tuftom) Deising, Michael Wolfgram, Ann (James) Mitchell, Dexten Hielke, Taylor Hielke Courtney and Cole Kiggens; great-grandchildren, Sydnie, Adalyn, Reece, Seth, Brynnley, Harper, Bella, Jace, Jocylyn and J.J.; sister, Donna (Jim) Meacham; sisters-in-law, Carole Hielke and Marilyn (Jim) Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Hielke; in-laws, Percy and Ethel Brunson; brother, Ronald Hielke and step-grandson, John Wolfgram.
Visitation for David will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 9 12:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 502 County Road M, Pickett, WI.
Funeral Service for David will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 12:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett. Pastor Jud Krohn will officiate. A private family interment will be held at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in the Town of Utica. A memorial is being established in his name.
