David Gallert

David Arthur Gallert, age 78, of Ripon, WI passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh with his family by his side.

David was born in Ripon on January 19, 1941 the son of Arthur and Myrtle (Link) Gallert. He graduated from Markesan High School. On November 3, 1962, in Ripon, WI he married Ellen Malson,
his wife of 55 years. A father of three children, he worked his whole career at Rippin’ Good Cookie Factory. ‘Harley-Davidson’ motorcycles were his passion and he enjoyed countryside rides with family and friends which frequently ended at Shepard’s Drive-In for ice cream. In later years, he cherished watching his grandchildren’s school and sporting events. He was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.

David is survived by his children, Greg Gallert of Ripon, Geoff (Missy) Gallert of Racine, and Gina (Shane) Heling of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Baylee Gallert, Brooke Gallert, Brendan Gallert, Kayla Gallert, Gabby Heling, and Ryland Heling. He is further survived by his sister, Linda (Al) Judas; sister-in-law, Carol Seibold and many nieces, a nephew and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle Gallert; wife, Ellen Gallert; brother, Robert Gallert, Sr; brother-in-law, Stanley Seibold, and his beloved Weiner Dog, Eli.

A visitation for David will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Friday, October 18, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI, 54971.

A Mass of Christian Burial for David will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 18, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon with Reverend Davies Edassery and Reverend William Whalen co-officiating. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon.
