David Donald Alvin, age 78, of Green Lake, WI, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
David was born July 5, 1943, in Green Lake, WI, the son of Arnold and Ruth (Hallman) Alvin. He graduated from Green Lake High School and on May 2, 1964, David married Diana Ailant in Berlin. He was a hard worker. David owned his own business for over 40 years. In his retirement, he helped other local contractors. David truly loved going to work every day. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and being with family.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Diana Alvin of Green Lake, WI; three children, Kelly (Norman) Basham of Santa Monica, CA, Jodi (Scott) Schmitt of Madison, WI and Chris (Valerie) Alvin of Princeton, WI; grandchildren, Samuel and Claire Schmitt and David and Emmit Alvin with one more on the way. He was further survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives. David was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ardis and Elaine and brother, Robert.
Visitation for David will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 10 – 12:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for David will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 12:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. A memorial is being established in his name.
