Darlene Brown

Darlene Margaret Brown, age 81, of Ripon, WI passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.

Darlene was born on August 9, 1930, in Potosi, WI, the daughter of Maynard and Irene (Slaats) Pluemer. She graduated from Tennyson High School and married Kenneth Brown. She was a homemaker most of her life. Darlene enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Ruth (Wesley) White of Ripon and Rosella (Michael) Schuh of Sheboygan. She is also survived by grandsons, Jeremy (Nicole) Brown and their children, Jacob, Ethan and Emily of Fort Hood, TX, Matthew White of Ripon, William (Heather) Brown and their children Kendra, Destiny and Robert of Ripon, Angela (Matthew) Mokler their children, Haylee and Mason of Oshkosh and Joseph (Tori) Brown of Oak Harbor, WA; sisters, Janet (Don) Schmitt of Sherrill, IA, Patricia (Jim) Loffelholz of Cuba City, WI and Glendoris Lynch of Platteville,
WI; brothers-in-law, Donald Schroeder of Dubuque, IA and Cyril Menne of Potosi, WI and sister-in-law, Jean Brown of IL, as well as many nieces, nephews, great niece and nephews, friends. Darlene is further survived by her special family Dana (Pauline) Berry of Ripon and their children, Theresa (Troy) Resop and their children, Tyler and Taylor and John (Angel) and their children, Alex and Ella. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, step father, Burdette; husband, Kenneth; sons, Richard, Roger and Robert; sisters, Estelle Schroeder and Pearl Menne; brother, Dennis (Betty) Pluemer; brother-in-law, Eldon Lynch.

Visitation for Darlene Brown will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Thursday, February 23, 2012, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 Blossom St. Ripon, WI 54971.

Mass of Christian Burial for Darlene Brown will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012, 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.

The family would like to thank Fountain View Care Center for their care over the past few years and also the staff at Ripon Medical Center for making Darlene as comfortable as possible in her last hours.
