January 26, 1948 — February 7, 2022

Christopher “Chris” L. Jacobs, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Ripon Medical Center.

Chris was born in Battle Creek, MI on January 26, 1948, the son of Robert and Margaret (Henderson) Jacobs. He graduated from Goodrich High School, Fond du Lac, WI, in 1966. Chris then went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army from 1966 - 1969, spending over a year in Vietnam and receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Chris was a self-employed handy-man and jack of all trades, spending a majority of his life as a painter. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, watching wildlife and animals in general, and would often feed the turkeys that made their way by Copperleaf. Chris played the flute, harmonica, and the guitar, and loved to spend his time at Copperleaf painting. He was a kind soul and would do anything for anyone.

Chris is survived by his siblings, Pam (Tim) Yaroch of Beaver Dam, WI, David E. Jacobs of Waupun, WI, and Jeff Jacobs of Oshkosh, WI; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his very special friend, soulmate, and lifelong caretaker, Marlene “Mar” Koenig of Fond du Lac, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Jacobs.

There will be no funeral services for Chris. He will be inurned at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI in the spring. A memorial is being established in his name. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff and residents of Copperleaf Village for their wonderful care and friendship to Chris over the years.
