Charlotte L. Scheuers, age 88, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.
Charlotte was born in West Allis, WI, on November 13, 1929, the daughter of Arthur and Alma (Hoppe) Nickel. She graduated from Girls Tech in Milwaukee, WI. On October 11, 1952, she married Donald Scheuers at Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, and he passed away on February 23, 1972. Charlotte was a sales clerk in retail for 45 years. She grew up and lived most of her life in Milwaukee until moving to Ripon in 2001. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Charlotte enjoyed her garden, watching Westerns, her cat Peaches, bowling in her younger years, and most of all time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Sue (Stuart) Manthei of Ripon, WI; her son, Ray (Chris) Scheuers of Mt. Morris, WI; a granddaughter, Tara (Mike) Gehrke of Ripon, WI; two grandsons, Trevor and Justin Manthei of Ripon, WI; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Sebastian, and Griffin Gehrke also of Ripon, WI; a brother and sister-in-law, Chuck (Donna) Scheuers of Princeton, WI; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; a brother; sisters; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and a nephew.
A visitation for Charlotte will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A funeral service for Charlotte will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018, also at Messiah Lutheran Church, with Reverend Bryan Fritsch officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, the Ripon Ambulance Crew, and the Emergency Department at Ripon Medical Center for their wonderful care and compassion.
