Carrie Nash (Stein) Bartik, passed away quietly on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at her home. Carrie was born at Ripon Hospital on December 24, 1957. Carrie was the daughter of Leonard “Skip” and Nancy (Nash) Stein, the granddaughter of Antone and Hazel Stein, and Stuart and Florence Nash. Carrie graduated from Ripon High School with the class of 1976. Carrie attended UW River Falls, WI.

Carrie’s childhood and adult life was dedicated to her love of all animals; horses, dogs, cats, and all wildlife. She received her first pony at age 8 and spent many years at horse shows, as well as boarding horses with her husband in Meringo, IL.

Carrie married Dennis M. Bartik on May 5, 1984. They remained married until the time of Dennis’s death on February 15, 2013. Following the loss of her husband, Carrie moved back to Ripon to be closer to her family.

Carrie is survived by her siblings; Martha “Becky” L. (Gerald) Prellwitz, Nan R. Lindstrom, Julie (Lyle) Mathias, and John Stein. Carrie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and numerous close friends. She is also survived by her close pets, all of whom have found homes with family. Her lifelong love of the animal kingdom will be remembered by all who knew her. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating.
