Carolyn Naomi Dahlke, age 79, of Brandon, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital.
Carolyn was born on March 31, 1930, in Germania, WI, the daughter of Ellis and Angelina (Phillips) Bandt. She graduated from Montello High School and Normal School and became a teacher for grade school students. Carolyn worked in the Brandon School District as a teachers aide for over 30 years, lovingly working with children with disabilities. On December 25, 1950, Carolyn married Robert Dahlke. She was a member of Brandon United Methodist Church, the Brandon Historical Society, and the Brandon Public Library Board.
Survivors include three daughters, Carole (Kevin) DeCramer of Brandon, WI, Jill Kelley of Fond du Lac, WI, and Jayne (Robert) Pickart of Fond du Lac, WI; one son Bart (Dawn) Dahlke of Fond du Lac, WI; grandchildren, Amanda Wittchow, Cara Wittchow, Justin Kelley, Stephen Kelley, Sarah-Jayne Pickart, Molly Pickart, Haley Dahlke, and Hannah Dahlke; great-grandchild, Matthew Zorn; one sister, Mina (Ed) Kuhn of Fond du Lac, WI; one brother, John (Phyllis) Bandt of Aurora, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Doris Bandt; and one niece, Kathleen Kuhn.
Visitation for Carolyn Dahlke will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009, from 4 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI, and again on Friday, October 23, 2009, from 10 11:00 a.m. at Brandon United Methodist Church, 107 E. Washington St. Brandon, WI.
Funeral Service for Carolyn Dahlke will be held on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at Brandon United Methodist Church in Brandon. Pastor Laura Yates will officiate. Interment will follow at Germania Cemetery in the Township of Mecan. A memorial has been established in her name.
