Carol E. Lamonska, age 84, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon, WI.
Carol was born in Alto, WI on January 26, 1936, the daughter of Melvin and Alice (Veleker) VanBuren. She graduated from high school in Brandon, WI. On October 1, 1955, Carol married Arthur H. Lamonska at Alto Reformed Church. She was an office worker at Speed Queen in Ripon and later became Town Clerk for the Town of Utica in Winnebago County. Most importantly, Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a devoted member of The Federated Church of Green Lake. Carol enjoyed music, fishing, traveling, wintering in Texas and playing games with friends and family. Her greatest source of enjoyment was spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Janell (James) Seeliger of Princeton, WI; two grandchildren, Savanna (Zach Higginbotham) Seeliger of Fond du Lac, WI and Brenden (Hannah Roehl) Seeliger of Princeton, WI; four brothers, Dale (Norma) VanBuren of DeForest, WI, Bruce (Marilynn) VanBuren of Fond du Lac, WI, Robert (Bonnie) VanBuren and Martin (Norma) VanBuren both of Waupun, WI; a sister, Karen (Rick) Beek of Alto, WI; a sister-in-law, Vikki VanBuren of Ripon, WI; two brothers-in-law, Arnold Lamonska of Ripon, WI and Arnold Renn of Markesan, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Alice VanBuren; husband of over 64 years, Arthur Lamonska; two brothers, Donald VanBuren and Kendall VanBuren; three sisters-in-law, Elaine (Lloyd) Wiese, Muriel Lamonska, and Marjorie Renn; a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Charmaine) Lamonska; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to current health precautions, there will be no visitation or memorial service for Carol. Her immediate family will have a private graveside service for both Carol and Art at Alto Cemetery in Alto, WI, at a later date. A memorial is being established in her name.
