Bruce H. Daw, age 89, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan, WI.
Bruce was born in Sublette, IL, on June 6, 1928, the son of Orly and Ruby (Maves) Daw. After high school he went on to serve our country as Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1952 he married Joann (Davis) Draheim, and they had four children together. Then in 1968 he married Dorothy Wendlandt. Bruce worked as a HR Specialist for Del Monte Foods in Markesan. In his early years he loved to bowl and hunt, and was a member of the Masons. After retirement he enjoyed golfing with friends.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Ripon, WI; Bruce's children, Debra (Joseph) Lamm of Livingston, MT, Kevin (Celeste) Daw of Duluth, MN and Kenneth (Jane) Daw of Hartford, WI; Dorothy's children, Cheryl (Jim) Hessler of Princeton, WI, Vinnie (Julie) Smith of Markesan, and Doris (Gene) Wedel of Meno, OK; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herbert Daw of Shabbona, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orly and Ruby; a daughter, Kathy Jo Daw; and two brothers, Orly and Clarence.
Visitation for Bruce will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A memorial service for Bruce will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Inurnment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery in Green Lake, WI. A memorial is being established in his name.
