Bernice Denzin

November 23, 1928 — February 25, 2017

Bernice O. (nee Roeske) Denzin, age 88, of Ripon, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at The Barrett House in Ripon.

Bernice was born November 23, 1928 to Christoph and Olive (Parks) Roeske in the Town of Rosendale. On December 16, 1950 she married Donald Denzin at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Bea loved being with family and friends, cooking and baking for others, serving in numerous activities at church, music, flowers, square dancing with friends, and joining Don at many steam engine meets. She was always serving others.

Survivors include her daughter, Carmen (Robert "Bob") LaFavor of White Bear Lake, MN and son, Jeffrey (Jolene) Denzin of Ripon, WI; five grandchildren, Matthew (Kaisha) Denzin, Sara (Sam) Denzin, Nate Denzin, John (Mikala) LaFavor, and Jeannie LaFavor; one great grand-child on the way; and a sister-in-law, Helen Roeske of Waukesha, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Donald; sisters, Ora and Lucille, brothers, James, Donald, and Gordon; and many dear friends.

A celebration of Bea's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017 with visitation starting at 12 noon at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971. Inurnment will be held after the service at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A luncheon will follow at the church. Memorials will be directed to various church organizations as she requested.
