Benjamin "Ben" Niemuth

Benjamin “Ben” I. Niemuth, age 94, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.

Ben was born in Winchester, WI on August 5, 1927, the son of Frank and Bessie Niemuth. After school he went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army. He married Patricia Wilz on June 20, 1953 in Omro, WI, who passed away in 2017. Ben was a farmer who loved his Belgian horses and antique farm equipment. He was a life-long member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Ben was also a very talented and hard-working union carpenter, helping construct Ripon College and other large buildings in the Ripon and Oshkosh area. He enjoyed going to auctions, and in his younger years loved playing cards. Ben cherished time with his family, most of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ben is survived by his two sons, Ben R. Niemuth and Rick W. (Tammy) Niemuth both of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Nick (Katie) Niemuth of Ripon, WI; Lisa (special friend, Travis) Henning of Ripon, WI; Jon (special friend, Tiffany) Niemuth of Ripon, WI; and Josh (special friend, Ashley and her son, Drew) Niemuth of Green Lake, WI; great-grandchildren, Kollin, Korbin, and Kole Niemuth, Aidyn and Ahliya Henning, Dawson and Coral Niemuth, Gracie and Piper Niemuth; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betsy Niemuth; his wife, Patricia Niemuth; a daughter, Debbie J. Niemuth; a brother, Marvin; and a sister, Martha.

A graveside service for Ben will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett, WI, with Pastor Michael Sheppard officiating. A memorial is being established in his name.
